IT LIVES!!! Got the repaired ECU back from FAST today, of course I had to drop everything I was doing and go put it in. Couldn't let it run for long because we discovered last time that the water pump is leaking, but for not running in quite a few years, it's running GREAT today!
First startup, I did crank it a few seconds off camera just to build oil pressure, but it runs all by itself now! You can see the calcom software on the lappy at the bottom reacting to the live parameters. (it's open to the VE table and base spark table at the moment)

Tried to start it again, FAIL (need to work on the cold weather parameters)

Third time's the charm. Had to give it just a little throttle to get it runnning. Yes, I know it needs a return spring!

In case you haven't noticed, I am psyched! So excited this thing is running. The throttle response is so damn crisp. The sound is intoxicating. The smoothness is just icing on the cake. I can't wait to get it on the road. Time to flush the 6 year old oil out of there...
edit - just noticed that video 2 and 3 were just repeats of 1. Trying to fix. Strange - it looks right in drafts, but not in published. Let me know if you see 3 different videos or the same ones? I tried purging my browser cache and still have the same issue. I see the same video 3 times in a row, but if I edit I see 3 different videos.

Thanks! At the rate I'm going, in a few more years it will be ready for paint! I'll probably have it down the 1/4 mile before it gets to a spray booth...

Curious, can anyone tell me why the headline is bigger than other headlines? Is it something I did? I'm just happy I figured out how to embed the videos!

That's the way to do it. A running, driving beast with crummy paint is way more fun that a pretty paint job that cant drive.

Huh, that's really strange. I still see the same video three times.
